The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 Router supports Wi-Fi 6E – ASUS says it’s the first router in the world to do so. Wi-Fi 6E adds support for the 6GHz spectrum. This should provide better performance with compatible devices as the 6GHz spectrum is less congested.

To decrease power loss and maximize coverage, ROG engineers minimized the distance between the motherboard connectors and the antennas. A new antenna design optimizes the signal strength in every direction, and each of the eight antennas is well isolated from its neighbors, especially the four 6GHz antennas.
Heat can kill performance, so ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 Router is designed for efficient heat dissipation, with specially designed case vents on the top, bottom and sides. The side and top vents align perfectly with the internal heatsink, and these work with the large vent at the bottom to create efficient vertical convection for significantly increased cooling airflow.

Wi-Fi 6 Performance
The ASUS GT-AXE11000 Router had about the same range as the GT-AX11000 in my testing, which is excellent. Conservatively, if your home is of some 2000 ft2 (186 m2), chances are a single unit will manage it. Keep in mind that your mileage will vary since the Wi-Fi range bases on many factors.
Particularly, via a 2.5 Gbps wired connection, it registered the sustained copy speed of some 140MB/s for writing and almost 150MB/s for reading. Via a Gigabit connection, it now averaged 112MB/s and 107mb/s, respectively.
